House of Llyod

Commercial

Owned by Abhayraj Kohli, House of Lloyd, the coveted Goan eatery’s first Mumbai outpost is perched above Juhu’s Grandmama’s Cafe. The interiors of the 3,000 sq.ft. restaurant is divided between an outdoor bar space and indoor dining shelter. Bright yellow and sea blue line the space as if a little bit of the Goan ocean and the state’s sunny disposition has transported itself to our metropolis. To boot, Mario Miranda inspired stencils of people lazing around on the beach can be found on the walls of the interior space. The black sketched stand out in stark contrast in the background of the restaurant’s bright yellow walls. Nuances and influences of Chef Lloyd Braganza can be spotted throughout the Goan restaurant.

Huge, dome – like lights have been strung on the ceiling of the outdoor dining space. The lounge – like seating spruced with high – legged bar stools complete the cocktail – friendly vibe. Also, specks of greenery can be spotted both indoors and outdoors. The plants lining the walls in the indoor space in little pots make for an Instagram – savvy capture. Huge flower pots in the outdoor space and creepers flowing throughout the thatched ceiling bring life to the atmosphere.
