This apartment designed by Mumbai based interior designer Jannat Vasi, redefines modern luxury. The home owned by an affluent mills owner in India is nestled in the luxe Peddar Road suburb of Mumbai, India. This 7000 sqft home has 7 bedrooms, bathrooms and walk in wardrobes, a formal room, informal room, kitchen and an entertainment area with a gym and car garage.

Having taken one year to complete, Jannat Vasi’s goal was to liven the conventional expression of luxury residential spaces as perceived in the Indian market. We envisioned a future house. The key element while designing was to develop a bright space with a “happy” energy for our clients. The resultant space successfully creates a high impact with its vivid structural furniture and bold use of colour. The colour palate for each space is inspired by emergent trends as seen on the fashion runway. Applying the same approach to this residence, we have paired pop colours with a diverse selection of art and vibrant patterns to enhance this exceptional space.

The brief for this captivating project was to attain a unique look for each room which reflects the young owners’ personality. Subsequently a coherent and authentic interior has been developed, based upon a thorough understanding of the demands of its occupants. You will find patterned wallpaper and artistic textures with accents of reflective surfaces that give this property a modern eccentric twist.

Jannat Vasi has structured a whimsical haven which creates a welcoming disconnect once you’re in the space. This entire project is like a unique journey, each space is a new experience ready to be explored. The design is entirely bespoke and has been detailed carefully, from the container all the way to the content, from the space to the furniture.

The one of a kind products seen here that complement the space beautifully have been sourced from iconic global brands with a similar design ethos as the designer. The intricate details of each custom piece designed by Jannat Vasi blends eastern principles of craftsmanship with western principles of style and colour. The underlying intention of creating a “wow” space is what has made her labour of love worth it.
